Episode 6: THE SHINING with Miri Jedeikin

The Shining

Happy New Year, friends!

I am so excited to kick off 2018 with one of the most revered horror films of all time, Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING. Now that the holidays are behind us, we find ourselves in what can feel like the joyless part of winter -- it's cold and pumpkin spice and peppermint coffees are a thing of the past. So why not take this opportunity to indulge the isolation, the bleakness, and the frigidity through The Overlook Hotel?

Miri Jedeikin is a personality you may recognize from Uproxx, as the co-creator and co-host of Girls on Film and Windowseat Entertainment's creative executive. She is also a sweet friend of mine and one of the most intelligent and thoughtful people that I know. She also loves horror movies, just like me! When she selected THE SHINING -- which is one of her favorite movies -- I was thrilled because, although considered by many to be a classic, it is also a movie that I have never really loved, so I knew we would be in for a compelling conversation.

One minor housekeeping note: you'll notice in the outro of this episode that I teased a scary-surprise for this Thursday's mini; well, that's why you don't announce things before they're 100% confirmed because that surprise will not be released this week after all. But I am hopefully that it will happen very soon, and in the meantime, the mini I have lined up is a real "winner." Jokes!

Thank you to those who are supporting the Patreon campaign and if you can kick in $1 or $5 a month, please remember that even a little bit goes a long way! I hope you enjoy this week's episode of SENDING THE WOLFE and don't forget to rate and review on your podcast app of choice to help spread the word about the show.

Here's to a big, bright, happy and healthy New Year!

xx, Clarke.
